This Privacy Policy explains how ECJPYC Corporation (d/b/a Sessy) ("Sessy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit eatsessy.com (the "Site"), make a purchase, or otherwise interact with us (together, the "Services"). "You" means any user of the Services, whether a customer, visitor, or other individual whose information we collect. Please read it carefully. Our Site is hosted on Shopify.
1. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last revised, and changes take effect when we post the revised policy on the Site.
2. Personal information we collect
Information you give us directly:
• Contact details (name, email, phone, shipping and billing address).
• Order information (items purchased, order value, payment confirmation, shipping details).
• Account information, if you create an account (username, password).
• Communications you send us (for example, customer-support messages or survey responses).
Information we collect automatically, through cookies and similar technologies:
• Usage data about how you access and use the Site (device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, items added to cart, and similar interactions).
Information we receive from third parties:
• From service providers who support our Site, such as Shopify; from payment processors, who handle your payment information directly under their own terms; and from analytics and advertising partners.
We use third-party payment processors. Your full payment-card details are collected and processed by them, not stored by us, and are subject to their privacy terms.
3. How we use your information
• To provide the Services: process payments, fulfill and ship orders, handle returns and support, manage your account, and send transactional messages such as order confirmations and shipping updates.
• For marketing: to send you email and, where you've opted in, SMS messages about products, offers, and news, and to show you relevant ads. You can opt out anytime (see "Your choices").
• For security and fraud prevention, to communicate with you, and to improve the Services.
• For business purposes such as analytics, auditing, and developing new products. We may aggregate or de-identify information so it no longer identifies you, and use it for any purpose.
4. Email and SMS marketing
If you sign up for our emails or texts, you consent to receive marketing messages from Sessy at the contact details you provide. Message and data rates may apply for SMS. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, and stop texts by replying STOP (or as described in the message). We may share your information, including SMS consent status, with vendors who help deliver our messaging; we will not share your SMS opt-in with third parties for their own unrelated marketing.
Referral and rewards programs. From time to time we may offer a referral or rewards program under which you can earn rewards (such as discounts, credits, or free products) for signing up for our emails or referring friends. Because these programs exchange a benefit for personal information (such as your email address), they may be considered a "financial incentive" under some state privacy laws. The value of the incentive is reasonably related to the value of the information you provide, which we estimate based on the costs of offering the program and the revenue it generates. Participation is always optional: you opt in by joining the program, and you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing from our emails or emailing hello@eatsessy.com, in which case you forfeit any unredeemed program rewards.
5. Cookies and analytics
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your cart, personalize your experience, measure and improve performance, and support advertising. For information about the cookies used to power our store with Shopify, see Shopify's cookie information. We also use Google Analytics; you can opt out using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Most browsers let you decline cookies, though some features may not work as well.
We honor opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by applicable law: if your browser or extension sends a recognized signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for that browser. Apart from recognized opt-out preference signals, we do not currently respond to browser "do not track" signals.
6. How we share your information
• With vendors and service providers who perform services for us (site hosting, payment processing, order fulfillment and shipping, email and SMS delivery, analytics, and customer support).
• With business and marketing partners, including Shopify, to provide and advertise the Services, under their own privacy terms.
• When you direct or consent to it (for example, to ship a gift, or through social or login integrations).
• Within our corporate group and affiliates; to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and property; and in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Advertising and "sale" or "sharing" of information
We use third-party advertising services, which may include Shopify's ad tools (such as Shopify Audiences), to personalize the ads you see. Depending on your state, some of this activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable law. You can opt out at any time by using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of the Site, by enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal such as GPC in your browser, or by emailing hello@eatsessy.com. You can also exercise choices as described in "Your choices" and "Your US state privacy rights."
8. Your choices
• Email: unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email. You may still receive non-marketing messages such as order updates.
• SMS: reply STOP to opt out.
• Targeted advertising / "sale" or "sharing": use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the Site footer, or enable a recognized opt-out preference signal such as GPC in your browser.
• Update your information: email hello@eatsessy.com to update personal information you've given us.
9. Your US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to receive a copy of it, to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of your information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. To exercise these rights, email hello@eatsessy.com or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the Site footer; we may need to verify your identity before responding, and we won't discriminate against you for exercising them. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome of your appeal. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
10. Children's information
The Services aren't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to sites we don't operate. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies before sharing information.
12. User-generated content
If you post reviews or other content in public areas of the Services, that content may be visible to others. We can't control how others use information you choose to make public.
13. Security and retention
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, so please don't send sensitive information through insecure channels. We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
14. Cross-border transfer
We're based in the United States and process information here. If you access the Services from outside the US, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have data-protection rules different from those where you live.
